Update from Becky Weber at the Coalition

The FTA has DENIED IndyGO’s petition for an exception for the Indy 500!  Hallelujah!!  This being the first major event to be ruled on since the transition to a new President gives us a strong indicator that the Administration is still enforcing the rule as drafted and intended.   The petition was completely baseless and FTA did not bend to accommodate a ridiculous outcome.  The precedential value of the decision is huge going forward.  I caution everyone that we do not have political leadership at FTA yet, so we will still have to be vigilant to ensure that the situation does not deteriorate once we do.  But for now, celebrate today’s victory!
