January 10, 2002 - High Hill Ranch

CalTrans and the El Dorado County Department of Transportation approved access to High Hill Ranch for 45 foot buses.  45 foot buses now have access to the High Hill Ranch via U.S. Highway 50 and Carson Road.  The following intersections, interchanges, and road segments are approved:

U.S. Highway 50
East Intersection of U.S. Highway at Carson Road
East Camino Interchange of U.S. Highway 50 at Carson Road
Carson Road between the East Camino Interchange and High Hill Ranch Road

Please be advised that this approval by Caltrans and the County of El Dorado will not result in the installation of any special signing on U.S. Highway 50 or Carson Road.  In accordance with current State standards, no special signing has been approved for the purpose of directing 45 foot buses to approved routes.  Also, please be advised that this approval for access by 45 foot buses does not include approval of High Hill Ranch for "Terminal Access" by Interstate Trucks. 

January 22, 2002 - Highway 299

CalTrans approved the opening of the entire length of State Highway 299 for 45 foot motorcoaches and motorhomes.
